Mini Grants

We want to encourage more non-profit organizations to plant with native plants. To that end, the chapter has developed a Mini Grant program for those who are interested in starting or expanding an area of natural landscaping with natives. Grant applicants must be nonprofit organizations, schools, scout troops, Master Naturalists (for Master Naturalist projects), Master Gardeners (for Master Gardener projects), etc. This grant program is not intended for private/home landscaping, but for projects that have an educational aspect. This could be a small butterfly garden, a little prairie area, or a section near a school or public building.

The grant program will allow selected applicants to purchase plants or trees at cost from our chapter’s native plant sales, woodland, prairie/savanna, and tree and shrub. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis; there is no deadline.
